Incorporated in 1882, the Dubuque Linseed Oil Paint Company manufactured an estimated 1000 gallons of paints daily to be sold throughout the Midwest. The building was rehabilitated into sixteen apartments. Extensive structural work was completed.
The new exterior walls were clad in a stamped metal panel manufactured by W.F. Norman and are a close match to the original historic panels.
New corrugated metal ceilings were installed on all floor levels to replicate historic metal ceilings
